Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026. To provide the best experiences, we use technologies like cookies to store and/or access device information — similar in structure to industry consent frameworks (essential, preferences, statistics, marketing).

What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels) store or access information on your device. Consenting to non-essential categories allows us to process data such as browsing behaviour or unique IDs. Not consenting, or withdrawing consent, may affect some features.

Essential / Functional (always active)

Technical storage or access that is strictly necessary for a service you request, or for transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network — for example security, load balancing, remembering your cookie preference, and form abuse protection. These cannot be switched off if you use the site.

Preferences

Technical storage used to remember choices that are not strictly required for the core service (for example UI language or dismissed banners). Disabled unless you opt in via the consent banner.

Statistics

Storage used exclusively for statistical or anonymous analytics purposes (for example aggregate traffic via privacy-respecting analytics such as Vercel Analytics when enabled). Without additional records, this data alone usually cannot identify you. Disabled unless you Accept / enable Statistics.

Marketing

Storage used to build profiles for advertising or to track users across sites for marketing. We do not currently run third-party ad networks by default; if we introduce them, they will only load after Marketing consent. You can Deny this category at any time.

How to manage consent

Use the on-site consent banner to Accept, choose Essential only, or open View preferences to toggle categories. Clearing site data in your browser resets the stored choice (lavoisier-cookie-consent).
